Mechanical Engineer

Salary: Up to $65/hr.

Location: Orlando, FL (hybrid less than 50%)

Industry: Government/Defense

Employment Type: Long-term contract with potential for permanent employment

Clearance: Ability to obtain



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree In Relevant STEM Discipline (Electrical/Computer/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering), or Computer Science
  • 6+ years of relevant experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA)
  • Experience with the following: Printed wiring boards, Circuit/electronic card assemblies, Harness assemblies, Sub-assemblies.
  • CREO experience REQUIRED
  • Knowledge/design of electronics chassis, and RF knowledge is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Individual will be required to be the responsible engineer for a new Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) for Sniper capable of housing a Modular Radio assembly based on 3U cards.
  • Support production hardware and work directly with Fire Control Factory and Ocala Manufacturing Engineers to quickly react and develop solutions when problems arise.
  • Responsible for packaging design updates and design documentation processing including Requirements/Concepts (RC) Design Assurance (DA) Reviews, Implementation (I) DA Reviews, Pre-Release (PR) DA Reviews, EPCAD input packages and fully released drawings.
  • Interface with EE, SE, PS, Planning, Program Management, Prod Ops and ME in a team dynamic.
