Mechanical Engineer

Salary: $54/hr.
Location: Orlando, FL (hybrid 50%)
Industry: Government/Defense
Employment Type: Long-term contract with potential for permanent employment
Clearance: Ability to obtain


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required
  • Proficiency with CREO (Pro/Engineer) is required
  • Experience with developing and interpreting GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 is required
  • Experience with PTC Windchill is required
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills is required
  • Ability to obtain secret clearance
Responsibilities:
  • Primary job responsibilities include conceptual and detailed mechanical design, tolerance analyses, and performing trade studies.
  • Responsible for 2D and 3D engineering documentation creation and initial release, as well as coordination with other engineering and production disciplines for change notices and drawing revisions for producibility and affordability improvements.
  • Work in the ATWS program area designing precision mechanical and opto-mechanical prototype, production, and test hardware in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Support of system and subassembly level test planning and execution, production nonconformance MRB disposition, coordination and support for outside suppliers, and presentations at IPT meetings, PDRs, CDRs, DARs, and other internal and external customer reviews.
