Job Description
Mechanical Inspector
Salary: $25/hr.
Location: Archbald, PA (fully on site)
Industry: Government/Defense
Employment Type: Long term contract with potential for permanent employment
Clearance: Ability to obtain
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience
- Inspection background required (preferred Mechanical inspection experience)
- Experience using Calibers, Micrometers, CMM-Coordinated measuring machine REQUIRED.
- Must be familiar with and capable of learning the use of all measuring instruments, tools, and gages required to perform various mechanical inspection functions.
- Must have a good understanding of shop math and blueprint reading / interpretation. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.
- Ability to use computers
- Electrical background
Responsibilities:
- Perform various types of mechanical inspections including dimensional, in-process machining and assembly, final inspection, receiving inspection, and routine first pieces on fabricated, subcontracted, and/or purchased parts.
- Perform mechanical inspection utilizing Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other technical inspection equipment.
- Utilizes computers to enter transactions, validate information and maintain database.
