Metrology Technician

Salary: $20/hr

Industry: Dept. of Defense

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Shift: 1st shift, M-F 6AM-2:30PM

Employment Type: Contract to Permanent

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma Required. AS Degree in Engineering, highly preferred.
  • 2 years of direct experience required.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and how to use them.
  • Must possess strong computer skills, and Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with the following programs: Indysoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, and Met/Cal experience is highly desired.
  • Previous experience with customer service is a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented, team player, displays a positive attitude.
  • Must have strong math skills.
  • US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities:

  • Calibrates and certifies Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology utilizing certified laboratory standards and manufacturer, commercial or military specifications/calibration procedures.
  • Calibrates and troubleshoots fault isolation, adjustment and repairs using Test Measure Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) certified laboratory standards.
  • The candidate will be required to calibrate linear dimensional hand tools and other related equipment.
