Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar
• Minimum 10 -15 years of related experience in manufacturing
• Must have experience in metal manufacturing, machining, or similar.
• Experience with Defense contracts required.
• Prefer Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt & Continuous Improvement expertise
• Ability to respond and relate to customers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community
• To be hardworking and detailed-oriented

Responsibilities:

• Effectively make presentations; respond and relate to issues, opportunities, and challenges customers
• Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the organization s manufacturing systems, with the goal of being the premier manufacturing group in the industry.
• Oversee all areas Operations including Machining, Flowforming, Forging, Assembly & Test departments.
• Responsible for the overall direction, management and results of departments and carries out responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws
• Minimizes product costs while meeting customer value requirements
• Directs LEAN efforts to minimize the cost of quality including scrap, rework, and field failures
• Interfaces with customers, vendors, subcontractors and ensures the organization is in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Further develops and implements performance metrics to ensure on-time-delivery of production to customers
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: walk, sit, stand, bend, lift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, and move continually during work hours; vision abilities, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Lift over 50lbs along with over the head lifting. Personal protective equipment typically required to perform essential functions of the job include ANSI rated metatarsal shoes, safety glasses, and cut-resistant gloves.

Work Environment: The position operates in a manufacturing atmosphere. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those any employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to: vibration or works near moving mechanical parts and high, precarious and congested places; occasionally exposed to risks of electrical shock; work on or near moving mechanical parts; exposed to prolonged risk of loud to moderate noise throughout the day. Hearing protection is recommended in all areas of the shop and is provided by the Company.
