Location: Belen, NM

This company is the design and technical support of advanced coating systems, modified release technologies and functional excipients for pharmaceutical dosage forms. The Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating production machines to produce high-quality parts while ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality and safety standards. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role is essential in maintaining smooth production workflows, performing basic machine adjustments, and conducting quality checks.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for material handling, ensuring the correct materials are used, and accurately documenting material usage and losses.
- Inspecting parts to verify they meet quality specifications and completing inspection sheets as required.
- Notifying maintenance technicians of defective parts and reporting issues to the supervisor.
- Completing production documentation, including starting and closing process orders.
- Reviewing process orders for specific instructions and ensuring compliance with requirements.
- Follow all GMP regulations and supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as 6S and Performance Dialogues.
- Training new operators to ensure proper procedures and best practices are followed.
- Assisting technicians with machine maintenance, and TPM activities on machines that apply to the assigned department.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of experience in a GMP environment preferred
- Proficiency in English, that is the ability to read, write & comprehend work orders, instructions, correspondence and so on.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours or more.
- Capability to lift and handle up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Willingness to work in a noisy environment.
