This position is responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company s productive capacity in specific work centers or machines as well as managing inventory levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Based on the MPS driven demand or Backlog Orders, selects and sequences available jobs to be run on the shop floor taking into account the DPAS ratings on orders where applicable
  • Manages overall workload of the shop and align resources as needed to maintain balance (where applicable)
  • Meets weekly with Integrated Program Teams to review all pending and recently received demands
  • Drives improvement of current planning systems, functions and daily operations to more effectively meet goals
  • Monitor material deliveries to support the run schedules
  • Maintains manufacturing build plans on a daily basis to meet the delivery schedules
  • Creates and maintains the expected completion of each scheduled job
  • Reviews the schedule and ensures the raw materials are available when required
  • Creates and manages a forward-looking plan in ERP system to generate purchase requisitions
  • Ensures all outside services are planned and monitored
  • Consolidates demand for purchase requisitions
  • Highlights critical parts and/or challenges, which may keep Operations from meeting the delivery schedule
  • Responsible for On-time delivery (OTD) to ensure accurate shipment dates
  • Reviews sales orders for accuracy and completeness (where applicable)
  • Provides priority list to production as needed
  • Coordinates engineering changes into production when appropriate
  • Meets with the Operations team as needed to discuss schedule
  • Reviews capacity requirements needed to achieve the production requirements and schedules
  • Reviews planning processes for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
  • Minimum of 3 plus years of production scheduling and/or planning preferred.
  • Bachelor s degree in business or related discipline experience with a strong background in project material management.
  • Inventory analysis experience desired;
  • Possesses strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees and managers at all levels within the company
  • Experience with ERP systems required, SAP operating system preferred
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, willing to work overtime when necessary
  • Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office); skilled in use of Excel including Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word and SharePoint
