Plastic Process Technician
Hourly: Up to $35/hr.
Location: Mebane, NC (Fully Onsite)
Shift: 1st and 3rd shift (Wed-Sat)
Employment Type: Permanent employment
Job Summary:
Responsible for operating/maintaining plastic molding machines to produce high-quality parts. This role involves setting up and adjusting machines, monitoring production processes, and ensuring product quality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of experience in the plastic injection molding field.
- Strong understanding of plastic injection molding processes, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of machine operation and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate molding machines according to specifications and work instructions.
- Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Inspect finished parts for defects and take corrective actions as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on molding machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions.
- Assist in the setup and changeover of molding machines.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Follow all safety and company policies and guidelines.
