Aerospace Production Technician
Location: Kent, WA
Salary: $26-31/hr
Industry: Aerospace/Manufacturing
Employment Type: 6 month assignment to start
Available Shifts:
- A shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm PST
- B shift: Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am PST
- C shift: Friday - Sunday 5:00am - 5:30pm PST
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have familiarity with fabricating, inspecting and repairing metallic assemblies.
- Experience working with mechanical structures.
- Patience to perform tedious tasks with extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ability to work with delicate materials and adhere to tight tolerances.
- Basic hand tool experience such as, torque wrenches, screw drivers, and crimpers.
- Experience working with mechanical structures.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and must be able to work a 40 hour work week (4x10 s) with occasional overtime.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum due to ITAR requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with poke tack welders and conformal coating.
- Experience and capability to interface with software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite
- At least 4 years experience in Aerospace Avionics or related field
Duties:
- Assemble, repair and evaluate assemblies for various spaceflight systems.
- Share in the team s impact on all aspects of the production.
- Work in this position requires a high level of proficiency in the technical aspects of the work such as resistance welding, mechanical assembly and attention to detail. Building a variety of different components and assemblies, requiring the ability to stay focused on the specific task at hand
- Working directly with engineering to determine best practices and to vet new designs for improvement opportunities prior to production
- Serve a variety of internal and external customers, across multiple systems and multiple platforms and each Technician is a valued part of the chain that supports safe human spaceflight.
- A focus on safety, collaborative teamwork and quality allows the company to work together to determine the best path forward, balancing speed and safety to create high quality components that will propel future astronauts and payloads into space for the improvement of mankind.
