Location: Sarasota, 34243

Schedule: TEMP through December 2024

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer for a temporary assignment ending in December 2024. As a Project Engineer, you will serve as the project coordinator for various assigned projects and tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include providing technical expertise, coordinating project activities, maintaining schedules, and ensuring project deliverables are met. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues, track project progress, and communicate updates to all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and effectively identify, track, and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Project Planning: Manage, plan, schedule, and track tasks required for the successful completion of assigned projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate regularly with various company functions and disciplines to ensure project assignments and deliverables remain on track.
  • Status Reporting: Provide regular status updates on project progress and deliverables as well as respond to ad-hoc requests for information.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Create and maintain metrics to evaluate project health and provide reports to upper management.
  • Technical Documentation: Engage in technical writing and prepare presentations as necessary for project documentation and communication.
  • Autonomous Work: Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and brief other company departments on project details and status.
  • Adaptive Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by hierarchical manager or assigned manager/sponsor.
  • Attendance: Maintain regular and predictable attendance as required by the position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree from an accredited institution with working project management experience
  • Outstanding skills in the Microsoft Office suite including Project or similar Project Management applications.
  • PMP certification.
  • Manufacturing experience and/or Lean Six Sigma working experience.
  • Acts as project liaison with the different stakeholders and is responsible for identifying, tracking, and resolving all technical issues as they arise.
  • Manages plans, schedules and tracks tasks required for completion of the project(s).
  • Interacts regularly with other company functions/disciplines to keep assignments and deliverable on track.
  • Provide regular status updates upon request. Must be comfortable and fluent in communication with all levels of the organization
  • Creates and tracks metrics that can be used to determine the health of the project and used for reporting to upper management.
  • Technical writing and presentations.
  • Must be capable of working with little or no supervision, and brief other company departments/disciplines on product details and project status.
  • Other duties outside of this summary may be assigned as required by the hierarchical manager or assigned manager/sponsor.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Physical Demands: Sitting 15%, Walking 20%, Standing 35%, Lifting 30% (up to 35 lbs.)
