Title: Robotics Weld Engineer
Location: Cincinnati, OH

Shift: Mon- Fri 8am-5pm
Salary: 74k and up depending on experience

Summary:
Defines, integrates, programs, and modifies robot systems focusing on welding operations. Produces efficient and logical programs and operation techniques that are easily executed by robotic welder operators.
Responsibilities:
- Designs programs and tests and implements systems for all robotic machines.
- Applies advanced knowledge and experience to promote the expansion of welding robots where sufficient benefit exists.
- Serves as project lead for new robotic welding improvements
- Assists supervisors in monitoring quality of robot.
- Trains operators to properly run robot.
- Mentor other robotics trained technical staff to support production.
- Advanced troubleshooting for any machine variances to maintain product quality.
- Maintains OSHA compliance and corporate safety standards within the department and company.
- Responsible for maintenance of the machine.
- Establishes network of programs to utilize memory of systems.
- Knows how to work and set up equipment.
- Capable of re-work electrical trouble shooting.
- Must know coordinate synchronous motion.
- Miscellaneous duties as required
- Bachelor s degree in Robotics, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Welding or related engineering discipline preferred.
- Minimum requirement is 2 year technical degree with 2 to 5 years related work experience preferred.
- Should possess knowledge & experience with AWS & ASME code (preference to certifications).
- A minimum of two years of experience in an advanced weld robotics programming/integration Role to acquire sufficient background and technique to perform job responsibilities.
- Project management for new equipment installations and new product development/introduction.
- Knowledge of military parts, trailers, containers and large equipment helpful. Minimum of two years experience in project management or related field. Good overall knowledge of product introduction process.
- Large robot programming experience required. (preferably IGM)
- Proficiency at GMAW welding in all positions
- Team player who can communicate effectively and train others in a team environment.
- Understanding of welding procedures and specifications (including WPS, PQRs and welder certifications).
- Installation and programming with GMAW weld robots.
- Strong communication skills
- Software proficiency (preference to MS Office - Excel, Outlook, Word, MS project; CAD - Inventor, Unigraphics, ProE; Robot programming - Robot studio, Weldpro, DTPS, Karel, Allen Bradley Plc5, Rs Logix 500etc).
