SAP Data Specialist II

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for creation and management of new part set-up, and other associated data objects, including some bill of material management Following best demonstrated practices maintains a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism for SAP master data management. Works across the Bioscience network to align and support SLA s and departmental SOP s.

Creation and maintenance of part codes in SAP (Material Master)
Creation and modification of BOMs, Recipes, resources, in SAP (these skills are not required, but nice to have)
Ensure most current version of SOPs related to new part set-up, BOM, recipe creations are followed, and relevant to current work
Responsible for deactivation/reactivation and discontinuation of parts in the ERP system
Responsible for the coordination extending parts into other plants following department strategy and best practices and work to improve processes related to new part-set up
Provide hands-on support to SAP users in pursuit of material master data accuracy and consistency.
Monitor the progress of approval workflow to ensure that all materials move through the designated approval streams to meet GMP requirements. Escalate roadblocks and issues as required.
Maintain training on time completion as assigned
Ensure data quality, accuracy and timeliness is maintained per departmental SLA s and applicable SOP s.
May be assigned additional responsibilities and task as management and business needs require.

Requirement:

2-4 yrs. SAP Master Data experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience should include understanding of Material Master, BOM, Routing, Production, Quality, etc.
SAP certification or APICS desirable and could be used in lieu of experience.
Good communication and presentation skills. Ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Some analytical skills with the ability to define metrics (KPI s) and identify issues through root cause analysis
Competent using MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
