Job Description
Facility Engineer
Hourly: Up to $60/hr.
Location: Santa Rosa, CA (Fully Onsite)
Shift: 4/10, 1st shift
Industry: Government/Defense
Employment Type: Long-term contract with potential for permanent employment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in an engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or aerospace/defense industry
- Prior experience in the operational theory, advanced troubleshooting, and repair of semi conductor process equipment
- Experience in using key tool failure metrics like MTBF and MTTR to analyze and improve periodic maintenance programs
- Must have a proven track record of technical writing (maintenance and PM documentation/work instruction)
- Experience with mechanical design, statics, an machining requirements
- Must be able to work in a ISO Class 4 cleanroom and facility equipment rooms
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance
- Proven track record in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex electrical, mechanical, and 1-off tool failures associated with semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Types of process equipment includes but is not limited to: Photolithography and Etching.
- Act as the main point of contact for the Production and Process Engineering teams through direct conversation with engineers, technicians, facilities maintenance technicians and supervisors to identify and fill gaps in current documentation, best known methods (BKM), and parts inventory to assist in the mitigation of extended downtime scenarios related to production tools.
- Work with Facilities management to effectively identify, source, and secure critical and long lead time, and obsolete spares required to help extend the useful life of production tools.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to schematics, blueprints, drawings, and operating/repair manuals.
- Manage small projects, train other maintenance staff and work independently at times.
- Develop and implement improvements to enhance reliability, performance and long-term supportability of the process equipment and infrastructure.
- Use key tool failure metrics like MTBF and MTTR to analyze and improve periodic maintenance programs.
- Develop and improve current periodic maintenance documentation.
