They utilize a range of novel technologies and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations to overcome drug development challenges for both small and large molecules, including complex granulations, spray-dried dispersions, hot melt extrudates, IR and MR tablet technologies, multiarticulate, and engineered particles inhalation.

Job Summary:
Responsible for the development, implementation, and daily management of commercial manufacturing operations to meet the needs of commercial business. Candidate will be part of the team that develops the client s value proposition, offerings, pricing strategy, client relationships. Candidate will work with the sales and business development team in the acquisition of new business and existing business. Candidate will also be responsible for leading and managing the commercial operations team, inclusive of technical transfers, proposals, commercial analysis, and commercial development.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Oversees workflow of the commercial operations teams
  • Integrates with the senior management team to develop and management personnel
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manage the introduction of new commercial projects
  • Acts as commercial representative for key customer relationships
  • Lead execution of the commercial and business strategy in development and manufacturing
  • Provide commercial input for facility and capital improvements, including the construction of a greenfield commercial facility
  • Develop plan for generating and qualifying leads. Work with BD team to ensure follow up
  • Identify and deliver new business opportunities
  • Be involved in customer site visits to facilitate onboarding of new customers and to maintain strong customer relationships
  • Represents commercial team during budget planning meetings
  • Responsible for management of pipeline / portfolio and delivery of products
  • Mange the manufacturing operations technical team and production teams
  • Meet frequently with quality, project management, and executive management teams
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Require Skills/Abilities:
  • Technical depth, including drug substance, drug product, and understanding of materials characteristics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrates strong project management, customer relationship skills, and communication skills
  • Able to build strong and motivational relationships with executive management and operations teams
  • Able to develop and implement strategic business plans and commercialization strategies
Education and Experience:
  • Education: BS in Life Science, Engineering, and 10 years' experience in CDMO/CMO Commercial Operations. MS or Ph.D. preferred
  • Experience in development, manufacturing and spray drying is strongly desired
  • Extensive knowledge in multiple technologies (Drug Substance, Drug Product, Development, and manufacturing service lines)
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • National and international travel required as part of the role
