Software Engineer
Salary: $40 - $45/hr
Location: Archbald, PA (fully on site)
Industry: Government/Defense
Employment Type: Long term contract with potential for permanent employment
Shift: Monday Thursday / 6:30am 5:00pm EST
Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Cannot work C2C OR C2H
Summary: This candidate will help in developing test software for several communication protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree.
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- 2+ years of LabVIEW experience.
- 2+ years of Test Stand experience.
- Experience working with multiple serial communication protocols such as Ethernet, RS485, RS422, SPI, I2C, RS232, 1553, CAN. We are seeking assistance in developing test software for several of these protocols.
- Experience working with Windows OS and PXI instrumentation based.
- Good oral and written communication skills required as is the ability to flex and adapt in a fast-paced team environment.
- Good presentation skills.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, coding, testing and integrating LabVIEW and TestStand applications for Automated Test Systems (ATE).
- Contribute to software requirements, design, code, reviews, and test of ATE.
- Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- Work under thew guidance of the lead software developer.
