Structure Design Engineer

Salary:$90-$105/hr.

Location: Marietta, GA (fully on-site)

Clearance: Active Secret clearance with investigation in past 5 years or CE enrollment

Qualifications:

• BS degree and 15+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with V6 (3DX) or CATIA V5 REQUIRED
• Structure design experience REQUIRED
• Active Secret clearance with investigation in past 5 years or CE enrollment
• Experience with metallic and composite design
• Experience with mechanism design
• Experience with subsystem installation design
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with structural analysis for preliminary sizing

Responsibilities:

• This position is for an Airframe Structure Design Engineer for an Advanced Development Programs (ADP) effort in Marietta, GA.
• Apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft structural design problems.
• Develop airframe design solutions under general direction and independently.
• Coordinate efforts across a wide range of functional organizations, such as Quality Assurance, Planning, Tooling, Structural Analysis, Materials & Processes, Flight Sciences, Production Operations, Flight Test, and various other engineering disciplines.
• Designs, develops, and tests a variety of, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.
• Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests.
