DoD Subcontracts Buyer

Requirements:

• Bachelor s Degree and 1-2+ years of relevant experience
• DoD or government subcontracts experience required
• Previous compliance related work experience is a plus
• Understanding basic accounting concepts is highly recommended
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Exceptional attention to detail, data-driven mindset, analytical problem solver, self-motivated, takes initiative, and provide comprehensive work product

Responsibilities:

• Review procurement files to generate subcontract closeout documents and change orders to ensure compliance prior to issuance and closeout of each file to mitigate risk and liability to the company.
• Work with functional areas to obtain information and documentation needed for closeout.
• Ensure subcontract files are in accordance with established procedures prior to closeout.
• Track progress and provide status of assigned closeouts.
• Understand basic accounting concepts to calculate amounts paid and remaining amounts per subcontract line.
• Must prioritize learning policies and procedures in order to complete roles and responsibilities.
• This is a temporary position to train the potential candidate for a direct-hire position based on performance
