Overview:
Support critical national security infrastructure at one of the nation s most important defense and nuclear security facilities. This role supports a large-scale workstation lifecycle modernization program within a highly secure federal environment in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. As a Systems Administrator, you will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for overseeing workstation lifecycle operations, ensuring reliable deployment and support of enterprise systems across both classified and unclassified environments. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational readiness by coordinating system deployments, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring compliance with strict federal security and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Lead daily workstation lifecycle activities including imaging, configuration, deployment, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and retirement
- Serve as senior technical point-of-contact for coordination with system owners, infrastructure teams, and facility operations personnel
- Ensure compliance with technical requirements, security obligations, QA standards, and documentation requirements
- Optimize operational workflows to support high-volume deployment schedules and mission timelines
- Provide escalation support for complex workstation, system, or connectivity issues across classified and unclassified environments
- Maintain accurate asset tracking, configuration management, and quality control across all lifecycle operations
- Mentor junior technical staff and ensure adherence to operational procedures, security policies, and safety protocols
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews related to system lifecycle operations and information protection
- Collaborate with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to maintain reliable and secure system operations
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 4+ years of systems administration or enterprise IT support experience
- Experience with enterprise imaging, deployment automation, and system troubleshooting tools
- Strong understanding of asset management, configuration control, and lifecycle management practices
- Familiarity with Department of Energy (DOE) or National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) environments preferred
- Proven ability to lead technical execution within secure or controlled environments
- Strong communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional technical teams
- Active Top-Secret Clearance required
