Systems Administrator
Hourly: Up to $110/hr
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Shift: 1st Shift. Monday - Thursday
Industry: Government/Defense
Employment Type: Long-term contract with potential for permanent employment
Clearance: TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI Polygraph Required
Qualifications:
Must possess a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8572 qualified certificate (or obtain within the first 60 days of employment)
- Bachelor s degree or higher education needed
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems
- Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Managing servers in a disconnected environment
- Performing routine server/workstation patching per guidelines
- Experience in successfully installing server and associated hardware is a plus!
- Experience in successfully installing/configuring software applications and programs is a plus!
- TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI Polygraph Required
Responsibilities:
- Install operating system security patches and firmware updates
- Create/manage security groups
- Coordinate hardware repair activities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems/issues
- Create scripts to automate system administration tasks
- Create/edit Standard Operating Instructions (SOI) documentation
