Systems Engineer

Location: Troy, Michigan (hybrid)
Industry: Dept. of Defense
Duration: 6 month contract
Pay: Up to $56/hr.
Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret clearance

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of systems engineering experience on defense or aerospace programs.
  • Proven experience with CAMEO (or equivalent model based engineering tools).
  • Hands on experience developing SDRL, CDRL, IDD, and SLRL artifacts.
  • Proficiency in MBSE tools (e.g., MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect, Cameo Systems Modeler).
  • Familiarity with DoD standards and configuration management processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability convey technical information to both engineering and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
Duties:
  • Identify, collect, and set up all required CAMEO models for the project while ensuring proper version control, naming conversion, and documentation of each model.
  • Implement scripts/tools to generate SDRL and CDRL artifacts and validate against DoD standards
  • Gather RCM data and link to relevant model components
  • Produce an IDD that describes data exchange, control interfaces, and physical connections for the system.
  • Generate SLRL documentation that captures system requirements derived from model analyses.
  • Coordinate with other systems engineers, software engineers, and broader program team to ensure streamlined and timely information sharing.
