Job Description
Transmission & Distribution Estimator
Salary: $40-$60/hr
Location: New York, NY (Work from Home Flexibility)
Industry: Dept. of Defense
Employment Type: Contract with potential to go perm
Requirements:
- College degree highly preferred, but experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- 5-10 years of electrical distribution experience
- Familiarity with HeavyBid software
- Experience with cost control, WBS structure, SAP, Maximo, AACE, etc. preferred
Duties:
- Assist in preparing conceptual, Order of Magnitude through detailed estimates, required for capital work being performed for design, procurement and construction of major electric, transmission and distribution projects including estimate basis.
- Candidate should be versed in multiple discipline estimates and have some field experience.
- Update and maintain the Project estimate throughout the lifecycle of the projects.
- Provide project estimate basis information to support estimating and cost management activities.
