Warehouse Specialist

Salary: $18.26/Hr.
Industry: Automotive
Location: Goose Creek, SC
Type: Contract to permanent
Clearance: Eligible for base CAC access

Requirements:
  • The ability to create accurate records for shipments received and released
  • Basic computer abilities to include Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel...)
  • The ability to operate a scan gun
  • The ability to operate a forklift; training provided if necessary
  • The ability to conduct an inventory
  • The ability to identify problems and particpate in developing a solution
  • Apply attention to detail
  • The ability to work with hands and to repeatedly lift 35 lb boxes from floor to table level
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Ability to walk and stand regularly
  • Ability to work outdoors in the heat and cold
  • Ability to work overtime as required by production schedule
  • 1+ year with two or more of the following:
  • Operating a forklift, Operating computer systems
  • Conducting inventories, Scanning materials/supplies/inventory
  • Verifying packing lists, Shipping, Receiving
Duties:
  • As directed, the Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
  • Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against
    receiving documents, nothing and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations
  • Able to preform storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
  • This worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
