Welder
Salary: Up to $41/hr.
Location: Archbald, PA
Shift: 4/10 M-TH, 2nd Shift
Industry: Government/Defense
Employment Type: Long term contract with potential for permanent employment

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 6+ years of welding experience REQUIRED
- Experience in TIG and/or MIG welding on aluminum, steel, or stainless-steel parts such as drawers and cabinets in accordance with supplied instructions.
- Knowledge of the difference between basic metal groups such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Proficient with various hand tools such as hammers, chisels, squares, and straight edges and measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and scales.
- Good knowledge of welding symbols.
- Ability to read prints and sketches regarding fabrication and can follow written and/or verbal instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Performs TIG and/or MIG welding and related fabrication processes on complex drawers, cabinets, and subassemblies.
- Sets up and maintains welding equipment.
- Use fixtures or table setups as necessary using clamps or angle plates to produce the correct shapes and dimensions.
- Can work to tight tolerances.
- Performs welding in the best sequence to minimize warpage and distortion.
- Cleans and prepares parts for welding by wire brushing, abrasive shot blast, and aqueous or solvent cleaning.
- Straighten parts that have been distorted due to machining and or welding.
- Clean, shot blast, and apply metal flame spray.
