• Issues Airworthy Release Documentation for all completed Repairs and Overhauls.
• Performs receiving inspection functions as authorized and prescribed in the RSQCM.
• Accomplishes all necessary inspections of articles maintained by the repair station to ensure overall quality of workmanship and material used in the repair and overhaul process.
• Maintains all FAA Part 145 Repair Station Quality Control documents.
• Demonstrates a thorough familiarity with all applicable FARs, company, and customer manuals applicable to their work assignments.
• Demonstrates a thorough familiarity with all necessary tooling, inspection aids and techniques to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Ensures all maintenance and alterations that are performed by the repair station are in compliance to the applicable technical data.
• Support the timely completion and documentation of the Internal Audit Process.
• Generates and follows up on internal corrective action requests.
• Focuses on continuous improvement and consistently demonstrates good business judgment.
• Works effectively with all internal departments, customers, and Regulatory Agencies to exceed internal and external expectations for customer satisfaction.
• Travel requirements: Occasional travel up to 5% (general guideline: once per year) within U.S/Outside U.S.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Evening/night hours may be required.
• Extra hours may be required during business peak.

Requirements:

• Bachelor s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or a related Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment in the field of Quality.
• Minimum 5+ years in the aerospace sector
• Prior experience with FAA Part 145 regulations required.
• Experience with Aerospace Quality Standards AS9100 / AS9110, NADCAP etc.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures, purchase specifications, applicable FAA regulations, contractual terms and conditions.
• Ability to use a variety of quality measurement equipment, Micrometer, Vernier's, Shadowgraph, CMM etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak Standard English, including technical, aircraft and quality control-related vocabulary, for technical and general business correspondence and for producing work products.
• Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes, and procedures.
• Proficient in use of MS Office software, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

• Inspect parts/materials using appropriate inspection devices, drawings, and methodology.
• Define Inspection Plan for proper sample sizes and key characteristics.
• Record accepted/rejected material quantities in history jacket and database equivalent.
• Create and update inspection plan for new and existing parts/material.
• Conduct First Article Inspections review and approval when required.
• Work with Supplier Quality in reviewing and approving FAIR and PPAP.
• Work with APQP pilot in creating and approving PPAP.
• Perform transactions for nonconforming materials in applicable system.
• Work within customer portals to enter information and extract data.
• Read and interpret drawings.
• Must execute assigned Standard Work.
• Must be able to work under deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are needed to interact with all facets of manufacturing including but not limited to: Engineering, Quality, Supplier Quality, Purchasing, Materials, Manufacturing and suppliers.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required.
• Must be willing to work overtime or flex schedules as necessary to business.
  

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 1-2 years of FAIR and/or PPAP experience
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to make logical decisions and solve basic problems.
• Requires a thorough understanding of metrology and inspection gauging.
• Knowledge of Inspection planning, sampling plan, key characteristics and critical features are necessary.
• Strong understanding of critical feature codes.
• Knowledge in AS9100 Technical Specification and AS9102 First Article Inspection Process.
• Basic Knowledge of SAP transactions a plus
• Background in Quality Inspection highly preferred.
• Experience with Measuring Machine and programming preferred.
